Initial Consultation

The initial consultation is the first point of contact for most clients. Obviously you will want to know a little more about what we do, but we also want to know about you and your circumstances and why you are seeking our help. Natoya Rose, Occupational Therapist

It’s incredibly important to us, to make sure that all our clients are getting the best service we can possible offer, and that starts with us obtaining a very clear picture of your situation. Not much gets past us and that is probably the point - to be thorough and competent and determine what is actually going on for the client, and to provide the answers people seek. And be sure, if we cannot help you, we will tell you so and advise what the best course of action is for you. headache
Not only are we very thorough, we aim to be as transparent as possible. Our clients come first and we know we are dealing with people who are often in a very vulnerable place. One very common statement I often hear is that we bring some very practical and common sense answers to the table. Once it has been pointed out, what is actually going on for the client, and how it is playing out in their life, their actions and behaviours start to make absolute sense. We aim to make this process as relaxed and easy as it possibly can be. baby's foot on a hand
The initial consultation occurs via Skype, allowing clients from all around the world to speak with us and get the answers they seek; without ever having to take time off work or to travel anywhere to do so. You can sit in your car and talk to us via your smart phone or tablet or download and install Skype on your personal computer; and don’t worry if you are unsure how to do all of this, because we can provide all the instructions you need to obtain and access Skype. skype logo

At the end of that first consultation, you will be starting to see why it is that we guarantee our clients that they will be the experts in their particular circumstance when they have finished working with us.

Please note: appointments are often in high demand and we cannot guarantee availability should you need to reschedule.

It is also important to note that the gap between sessions should be no longer than 3 weeks, especially if it is for a Visual Perceptual Therapy session. This is because the effectiveness of the therapy is compromised by longer gaps between sessions and we cannot guarantee outcomes.
