About Natoya

Natoya Rose, Occupational Therapist

Natoya Rose
Occupational Therapist

I have been a practicing occupational therapist for nearly 30 years, and have worked in New Zealand, the USA and Australia.

In 1996, a moment’s epiphany forever changed how I saw and understood human performance. It also changed the therapy I was providing, in some truly profound and fundamental ways. Life just suddenly got a whole lot easier, for both me and my clients, as I absolutely now understood why some people struggle to perform some seemingly simple tasks.

The stage had been set and nothing would ever be the same again, in my life or my clients. I was seeing improvements in my clients that are just not possible with contemporary therapies. I had fallen down a rabbit hole and into the quantum world of human performance - the world of visual perceptual performance.

The past 20-plus years have seen me putting human function and performance under the microscope and gathering an ever expanding understanding of how human beings are able to do the amazing things we can. The Visual Perceptual Therapy grew out of this research and today continues to demonstrate its worth in so many situations. I have worked with children with all manner of struggles, labels and conditions, adults with stroke, traumatic brain injury and 'dementia', and with world class athletes looking for a way to refine their performance. It turns out that anyone who wants to perform better in this world, regardless of whether they struggle or not, can do exactly this. I have yet to meet a condition that does not respond to this therapy and I have seen some truly profound transformations in my clients because of it.

These days I work with anyone who has a neurological cognitive based issue or simply wants to go better or faster, without all the effort. However, I am always on the lookout for opportunities to work with others collaboratively, influencing professions, systems and people in some truly amazing ways. With the advent of Skype, I am now able to work with anyone, anywhere in the world and still obtain those truly remarkable outcomes.

I am a registered occupational therapist in New Zealand, and have been previously registered in Australia. I also hold US board certification as an occupational therapist, although my registration is not current.

If you would like to work with me, either as a client or to collaborate on a project, please feel free to contact me. I'm always up for a discussion on the truly amazing world of visual perceptual performance.
